By using an old-fashioned typewriter, artist and designer Álvaro Franca has made detailed portraits of five of his favorite authors in literature in a series called "Typewritten Portraits".

"During my exchange period at Cambridge School of Art, I developed a technique for creating grayscale images on a typewriter and from it I was able to create portraits of five of my favorite authors in literature who worked on typewriters.

This is an ongoing series and there are plans for five other portraits to be concluded this following year."

In the short film "Pigeon Kings of Brooklyn", we meet three pigeon keepers, who have their birds on the rooftop of an abandoned tenement building, in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

The documentary "You've Been Trumped" shed some light on Donal Trump's controversial building of a luxury golf course in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Investigative journalist Anthony Baxter is now back with another documentary by the name "A Dangerous Game", in which he examines the environmental impact of luxury golf resorts around the world. Also, in this follow-up, he interviews Donald Trump, something that wasn't done in the first documentary, except for Donald being asked a few questions during a press conference.

I love the game of golf, but I also feel passionate about environmental issues, so this is a must see for me.

I absolutely adore David Hasselhoff's track "True Survivor" from the "Kung Fury" movie, but this 80's metal version is a keeper as well. So good!

The following story about Swedish DJ Avicii (Tim Bergling), reminds me of not to underestimate someone.

In 2007, Avicii made a post in a large online forum aimed towards songwriters, musicians and producers, wanting feedback on a couple of tracks of his. Back then, his stage name was Timberman, and this time the feedback was nonexistent.

On February 24, 2007, Avicii wrote:

Hi all, I hope this is the right forum to make the post in, but I have a few songs and I'd love to know what you think about them.

If you listen, write a little about which one you liked the most, and which one you didn't like at all, etc., and why. :)

And on March 5, 2007, still no feedback:

No one? :(

A few years down the road, and Avicii is a household name. Not only does he create good music, he also does a lot of charity work, something I find fantastic.

So, if you're struggling to reach a personal goal, think about this story, and keep on going.

Artist Richard Prince's work of art sells for large amounts of money. Nothing strange and odd about that, but the way he creates his work is. Prince is infamous for taking the work of others and selling it as his own, after making some minor changes to it. Last fall, "his" Instagram photos were on display at Gagosian with the exhibition "New Portraits".

Right now you can purchase someone's Instagram photo for around $100,000. The money won't go to the photographer, however, it will go to "artist" Richard Prince, who has blown up and made prints of other people's Instagram photos for his series titled "New Portraits." The previously private show at the Gagosian has been a part of Frieze.

According to Petapixel, "Prince is notorious in the art world for taking other people’s work, 'appropriating' them as his own with various changes, and then selling them for large amounts of dough." And no, he did not get permission for these prints, which are screenshots of the images with one addition from Prince, "a short message [he] posted as the last comment on each one."

From Arpel Films, the short film "To Craftsmen", is an homage to fine craftsmanship around the world.

Derek Low took great advantage of his frequent flyer miles and booked a flight with Singapore Airlines, when traveling from Singapore to New York, getting one of twelve available suites on board the Airbus A380. By flying Suites Class, you seem to be granted all you can think of, besides flying the airplane yourself.

The Suites were exclusive to their flagship Airbus A380, and they go beyond flat beds by offering enclosed private cabins with sliding doors that cocoon you in your own little lap of luxury. The interior was designed by French luxury yacht designer Jean-Jacques Coste and comes along with a plush soft leather armchair hand-stitched by the Italian master craftsmen Poltrona Frau. Perhaps most well-known of all, Singapore Airlines became the first and only commercial airline with a double bed in the sky.

However, the experience came with a hefty price tag. With round-trip tickets costing up to S$23,000 (or US$18,400), it was completely unattainable for most people.

Formerly, the only way for an average person to fly in the Suites was to take out a bank loan. And then I remembered that most of my personal net worth exists in frequent flier miles rather than cash.

I followed her [an attendant] past what seemed to be 50-60 people in the Business Class lounge. She walked noticeably fast, seemingly afraid that I would be disgusted by the presence of the working class. Here I was transferred to another attendant who walked me through the First Class lounge, and then through a set of automatic sliding double doors before being transferred to yet another attendant.

After having concluded 6 out of 10 semesters of the psychology program, Gabriel Bremler decided to take a study break and build Lego models full-time (Swedish article). It all began when he built a model of Stockholm City's subway station Hötorget, and his friends encouraged him to contact SL (Stockholm Public Transport) and Bombardier, to see if they would be interested of obtaining and buying the model for display. They did, and as a result he started his own company Bremlerbrick.

Since then, he has been commissioned to build several large-scale models.

In collaboration with astrophysicist Maryam Modjaz, French artist Abdelkader Benchamma illustrates dark matter in the installation "Representation of Dark Matter".

"Dark matter" has been in the news again lately as scientists in Switzerland have begun mapping what they believe is its prevalence across the universe. But they're not the only ones focused on identifying and describing it. French artist Abdelkader Benchamma has been making intricate drawings of cosmic phenomena for a while now, and his obsession with dark matter reaches its zenith in an installation on view for the next 12 months at The Drawing Center in New York City.
