I prefer to do my work via my laptop or PC, but with certain services like Instagram, you're forced to use your phone or tablet if you'd like to get access to all its features. You can solve this by using third party apps, but that is a route I rather not want to take.
Via a post on Louise Myers Visual Social Media, I found out that you can get access to Instagram's all features from a laptop and PC without the need of having to install and use a third party app, the only thing you need is the web browser Chrome.
1. Visit Instagram.com
Open up Chrome and go to instagram.com.
2. Open Chrome's Developer Tools (DevTools)
Launch Chrome's Developer Tools by pressing CTRL+Shift+I (Cmd + Shift + C on Mac) at the same time.
If you don't see a drop down list with the wording "Responsive" in the heading, click on the mobile symbol in the upper right side or press CTRL+Shift+M at the same time.
3. Open the Mobile Version of Instagram
When you have done this correctly, you'll be given the option to choose how the specific website you're currently visiting, in this case Instagram, will look like on different smartphone models. Under the option "Responsive", you can now choose a smartphone model of your choice, for example iPhone 6, which will give you access to Instagram's mobile version.
4. Login to Instagram
Type in your username and password as usual.
5. You're Now Ready to Start Uploading
Click on the camera symbol and start uploading images to Instagram. However, this method will only work with images and not video according to the test done by Goos3D.
